Richie Coy

3rd Generation of Coys in NEMA

The Coy racing family has been involved with NEMA since the early 1960, with the families first win coming in 1967 at Stafford Motor Speedway with Johnny Coy Sr.  Johnny Coy went on to win 20 times in his career.  Johnny's sons also had success in NEMA with Johnny Jr taking down one NEMA win in his career and Joey not only winning 15 times with NEMA, but also won 3 NEMA Championships in his career.  Johnny Jr.'s son Richie has come back to NEMA recently and has brought the Coy name back to victory lane with 4 NEMA Lite wins, making the Coy family not only a Father/Son, Brother/Brother, but a 3 generational family that has won in NEMA!

Richie Coy

Richie started racing in 1992 with the ATQMRA and has raced all kinds of race cars from TQs and Full Midgets, to Micro sprints, Late Models, NASCAR Modifieds and road race cars.
